Hope Beyond Hardship
Happy 2026! While the holidays are now behind us, the love, warmth, and connection we share with family and friends remain.
As we reflect on 2025, we are filled with gratitude—especially for you. Thank you for your friendship, love, and support. You are not just friends; you are our treasured extended family.
Lena and her family celebrated the holidays in Ukraine—with her family and with all the new students, teachers, and friends at the MoveOn School and Shoulder-to-Shoulder NGO.

As Lena shares in the video, your donations provide English and Ukrainian language classes, math tutoring, teen activities, and women’s professional skills training. Most importantly, you are helping bring hope for the future amid war. Because of you, children who have lost their fathers and women who have lost their husbands can begin to see beyond today’s hardship—to a future that grows brighter each week as they learn, connect, and build the magic of their own community. Thank you.
Our Giving Tuesday campaign raised $5,280, which was generously matched—bringing our December total to $10,560. We are deeply grateful. This support will carry us through February and allow us to increase both the number of classes offered and the children and women served during the spring semester.
January Focus Areas:
- Registering new students and expanding class offerings
- Hiring a project manager to support Lena
- Completing our new website by month’s end
- BIG news: We anticipate receiving our 501(c)(3) designation in Q1 2026, which will allow U.S. donors to receive tax-deductible receipts and donors to use their Qualified Charitable Distribution (QFD) account. We will announce the new donation link, once received!
